Through creative, recreative and educative programmes, Santhi Bhavan seeks to integrate post-psychiatric patients into the social, cultural and spiritual world.
Creative:-
Therapeutic methods include different occupational therapies like horticultural therapy and small-scale agricultural therapy. These methods help the individual regain his lost attachment to his surroundings. Job oriented programmes .
such as candle making, soap making, book-binding, umbrella assembling, etc., helps clients regain their lost dignity, and respect towards human labour

Recreative:- Therapies include play therapy, music therapy, narrative therapy etc. These help them gradually regain the ability to make friends, interact with each other and relearn the norms of human conduct.

Educative:-
Therapy include different pedagogical methods focusing on learning, writing and observation. Using simple mass media like newspapers, magazines and television, and through personal dialogue we try to revive their capacity for reading, writing and thinking.

These therapeutic programmes are undertaken by service minded students from different educational institutions, qualified social workers and appointed cooperators, under the supervision of the Director of Santhi Bhavan. To provide intensive care, the centre adopts group therapy and observes their psychological changes - both deviations and progress from the abnormal stage, if any.

When God created the world, he dignified it with beauty, providing order and rhythm in nature. Being the crown of His creation we are asked by our Creator to preserve the whole creation including ourselves in its original beauty, order and rhythm.

Keeping this in mind, Santhi Bhavan maintains good order and harmony in daily life and asks the beneficiaries as well as helpers to keep the centre clean and hygienic. Through this the inmates are prompted to give importance to personal cleanliness and hygiene. They are made to believe that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Any creature comes closer to God only when he is clean in mind, body and soul.
